Marriott International has announced plans to build two luxury hotel properties in NEOM, Saudi Arabia. This marks the first W Hotel and JW Marriott property to be built in the country. The hotels will be located in Trojena, the futuristic ski resort within NEOM.

The JW Marriott hotel will serve as a venue for major global conferences, exhibitions, and high-profile events, while the W Hotel will accommodate visitors to the snowy mountain. Both hotels are expected to open in the future, with Trojena set to welcome visitors and new residents by late 2026.

The W Hotel in Trojena will feature 236 guest rooms, including 47 suites, offering unobstructed views of the mountains and a freshwater lake. The hotel will also include four dining destinations, retail spaces, shopping markets, and entertainment areas. It will be situated in NEOM Trojena’s Lake Village, a development that combines residential, hospitality, and commercial architecture.

The JW Marriott Hotel will be located in The Bow, Trojena’s futuristic water world. The hotel will incorporate technology to create its nature and living environment. The substructures of the hotel will be built to withstand the surrounding water, while other areas will be adjustable to allow for year-round use.

Trojena, located in the Tabuk region of northwest Saudi Arabia, is being developed as a futuristic ski resort. It will use a combination of real and artificial snow to create an alpine environment for sports, living, and recreation purposes year-round. The resort’s team is ensuring consistent snow despite Saudi Arabia’s inconsistent snow periods.

Chadi Hauch, Regional Vice President and Lodging Development of the Middle East at Marriott International, expressed excitement about working with NEOM on this project, stating that NEOM is one of the most highly anticipated developments in the world. Philip Gullett, Executive Director of Trojena, emphasized that the hotels will elevate the travel experience for discerning guests.

In addition to the W Hotel and JW Marriott, Trojena will also feature Ennismore’s 25hours Hotels and Morgans Originals. The resort aims to redefine ultra-luxury hospitality and mountain tourism.
