MINI and Angell Mobility have joined forces to launch the MINI E-Bike 1, the car brand’s first foray into electric bikes. Featuring an aluminum frame and wheels, steel spokes, and a thermoplastic chain guard, the E-Bike 1 is a blend of MINI’s iconic design and the sleek carbon design of Angell bikes.

One of the standout features is the ability to customize the bike to the rider’s preferences. MINI offers two variants: Ocean Wave Green, representing the brand’s commitment to zero carbon emissions and electrification, and Vibrant Silver, inspired by MINI’s classic colors.

The bike’s aesthetics are further enhanced by Brooks England’s leather-free saddle and handlebar grips. The pedals, chain guard, and mudguards seamlessly integrate with the frame design. Upon hopping onto the electric bike, riders are greeted with a 2.4-inch touchscreen that displays key information in real-time.

MINI and Angell have also prioritized technology in their electric bikes. Riders can easily adjust their preferences and communicate with their bike through an integrated cockpit or a smartphone. The connectivity enables features such as geolocation and an alarm system in case of theft.

In addition to its innovative features, the MINI E-Bike 1 is designed for riders of varying heights. The S frame is tailored to users between 160 and 180 centimeters, while the M frame suits riders between 170 and 190 centimeters. The compact and swappable batteries are located under the seat and at the rear of the bike, and can be easily transported due to their lightweight design.

Furthermore, MINI and Angell emphasize the quick charging capabilities of the battery. It can be fully recharged in just two hours using any electric port. The electric bikes also feature parabolic headlights and flashing lights, ensuring visibility and safety during both day and night rides.

To offer riders further convenience and security, MINI and Angell have developed a mobile app. The app allows users to lock and unlock their electric bikes, either through their smartphone or by entering a personal pin code on the touchscreen. Additionally, the app offers real-time geolocation, allowing riders to keep track of their bike at all times.

The app also includes three riding modes, tailored to different needs. ‘Fly Eco’ conserves battery power, ‘Fly Dry’ provides assistance to riders who are low on energy, and ‘Fly Fast’ propels the bike to cruise at 25 km/h. MINI plans to produce a limited edition of 1959 units, a nod to the introduction year of the MINI Cooper, now electrified.

Overall, the MINI E-Bike 1 combines stylish design, advanced technology, and customization options, making it an exciting addition to the electric bike market.
